Tap, tap, tap, tap, tap

Quick steps echoed through the whole cave as you ran towards its exit. A loud roar behind you made you shriek and pressing the dusk stone, you just had found, even tighter against your chest, you began to quicken your pace, running for your life. The wild Onix, you had unfortunately woken up during your search, was chasing you right now and you had no intention of ending as its dinner or of getting rolled over by it. Eyes screwed up you kept running straight ahead, reaching the cave's egress the only thing on your mind. You were so focused on running that you didn't even notice the change of surroundings. It wasn't until you bumped  face first into a tree and fell with a dull thud to the ground that you noted being already outside.

"Ouw, that hurts, man...", a quiet groan escaped your lips as you stood up and rubbed your lower back. Remembering the Onix you looked with fear in the eyes back to the cave's entrace, luckily there weren't any Pokémon and you could finally let out a sigh of relief. Anyhow, you were quick to ignore the slight pain, holding up the dusk stone in your hands you couldn't else but smile. Despite being a supporter for dark-type evolutions it glittered beautifully in the sun and looked simply georgous. You were about to put the stone in your backpack as you spotted a Spearow standing a few feets away from you. Crouching down you stretched out your hand, hoping the Pokémon would approach you. The Spearow cocked its head to the side and let out a happy chirp before hopping towards you, near enough so you could pet it.

"Aww, what a cute birdy you are", you couldn't stop yourself from smiling at the sight of this adorable Pokémon.

***meanwhile at the Pokémon Center***

Silver stood in front of the Pokémon Center and frowend as he looked into the direcction you had run off this morning. It was past noon and he still hasn't seen you since breakfast. Usually you would be back for lunch, but know it was almonst supper-time. Though, he would never admit it, Silver was dead worried and decided to search for you.

***back to you***

"So, my little friend, I have to go now. Sadly, I can't keep petting you all day long", you said after a while, flashing the bird-Pokémon a last smile. You didn't get any reaction from the Spearow, it just kept staring at you, his gaze never leaving yours. Still croushing in front of the Pokémon you wondered if it needed anything.

"Huh? What is it, little guy? Are you hungry?"

No reaction.

"Thirsty?"

No reaction.

"Oh, do you maybe want to come with me?"

No reaction.

"Okaaay, well, I guess I'm just gonna get going now, so...um, bye." You were about to stand up when all of sudden the bird-Pokémon let out an incredible loud and piercing screech, which made you stumble back out of surprise.

"Kyaaaah!"

Thud. And againg you fell to the ground.

"Hey! That wasn't very nice of you. Why did you do that? "

You glared at the Spearow, but then you noticed the veiled glance it casted at your dusk stone and you instantly frowned. Spearows are known to be often full of mischief and this stare could only misgive...

"Oh, don't you dare! This is MY dusk stone, I spent hours of searching it!" You spat angrily at the Pokémon, attempting to hold it off of your  precious treasure, but with no success. Within a split second the 'cute birdy' jumped onto you and started to pick your head forcefully.

"Ahhh! Get off of me, you stupid thing!"

You yelled at it as you shielded you head with your hands, preventing to get hurt even more. While holding up your arms you realized that the dusk stone was slipping out of your hand, you tried to catch it again, but the  Spearow was way faster and snatched with its beak the stone away. Instantly you got on your feet, grabbing for the Pokémon, but it already flew off, only to have you chasing after it with determination in your eyes. You would get the dusk stone back, no matter the costs. The Spearow was incredible fast and you had problems to keep up with its speed, however, after a while you came to stop at a cliff and you saw how the Pokémon put the evolution-stone into its nest, which was  - of course, how could it be otherwise – built on a tiny branch that was growing at the edge of the cliff. The Spearow taunted you a last time by holding up its butt in the air, before flying off with some loud cries that sounded like sneering laughter. Well, at least you didn't have to deal with this pesky little devil anymore. Always look at the bright side, right? You sighed to yourself as you made your way towards the tiny branch and started to crawl onto it, even tough it looked like it was about to break every second. You didn't have any other choices anyway, you had no Pokémon with you, this morning you had left the Pokémon Center leaving your Pokéballs in your room and you didn't want to risk that another Pokémon would steal the stone while you were getting your Pokéballs. Step by step you scrambled slowly towards the nest until you could reach the dusk stone. You grabbed it with both your hands, wearing a bright smile on you face. You thought back to the reason why you were actually doing all of this.

***flashback***

"Murkrow, use Foul Play!"

"Quick, dodge it,Archen and then use Stone Edge!"

Archen dodged Murkrow's attack easily and hit it with its Stone Edge unconscious, ending your matutinal battle-training with Silver. You stretched out your arms and yawned, being still sleepy since it was pretty early in the morning. Silver always drags you out at the crack of dawn, only to battle you. However, you weren't to excited about your victory, lately the read-head kept challenging you with his Murkrow, but it always lost against your Archen. It wasn't that these battles were easy for you – it was quite the opposite, his Murkrow was fast as hell and dodged almost every attack, but it lacked in strength, which your Archen had more than enough. So it was only a matter of time when you would emerge victorious. You noticed that Silver was staring blankly at Murkrow's Pokéball which he was holding in his hand and you decided it was time to ask him what all of this was about.

"Hey, Silver. You know that your Murkrow did a good job and that it is a pretty tough fighter. So why do you keep challenging me with it?"

You asked seriously curious about his behaviour. You knew that he had his own methods to train his Pokémon, but this just didn't make any sense to you. He peered at you before putting the Pokéball back on his belt, answering you.

"I was just checking."

Silence.

"Um, what do you mean by 'just checking'?" You questioned him with a confused expression on your face, being clueless about the meaning of his sentence.

"I was checking if I could keep on battling with my Murkrow, but it seems like its strength came to a limit, where it can not be increased anymore", the silver-eyed boy began to walk back to the Pokémon Center, "I'll need a dusk stone, so my Murkrow can evolve into Honchkrow. That way it'll get more powerfull."

'A dusk stone, huh?', you wondered to yourself as you jogged up to him, so the two of you were walking next to each other back to the Center, finally getting some breakfast.
There was a strange silence between the two of you during your meal. It wasn't unusual for Silver to remain quiet and you also kept often silence, knowing that Silver appreciated it. But you would still hold small talk with him and talk about the latest news nurse Joy had told you. Not today, however. At first, you didn't eat anything. You were just staring at your plate, spacing out. Then, all of sudden, you let out a small 'Oh!' and started to shove all the food into your mouth. Within a few seconds you gulped down your whole breakfast, leaving Silver in total confusion. He was about to say something, but he didn't get around to doing so, because the very next second you got up, grabbed your jacket and started to run outside, turning around you waved to Silver wearing one of your biggest smileys, saying "I have something to do, see you later!"
The silver-eyed boy only shook his head with a slight smile on his face as response to your actions. You loved it to go around and to explore new things, he knew that. The Pokémon trainer just wondered on what kind of adventure you were going this time, before finishing his breakfast and returning to his room.

***end of flashback***

This morning you had decided to get Silver a dusk stone as a surprise-present. You were deeply in love with him, though, most of the time you kept your feelings to yourself. It was oblivious nontheless that you were in love with the red-head and you knew that he also was aware of this fact. You often wondered if he had feelings for you, too. Anyhow, you weren't really bothered about the fact that you never talked with him about all this love-couple-dating-stuff. You just enjoyed every second you could spend with Silver. Finally you put the dusk stone in your backpack, ready to get on solid ground again you were turning around when you heard a cracking sound beneath you. You tried to get a hold onto the cliff's edge, but your hand slipped off, letting you falling down. Closing your eyes, you already prepared for the harsh impact, but it never came. You opened your eyes in surprise as you realized that you stopped falling and you looked up to meet silver orbs staring down at you. Silver catched you just in time. He pulled you up and helped you to get on your feet, only to yell at you the next moment.

"The hell do you think you are doing here? You were about to get yourself killed, idiot!" You twitched at the harshness in his voice and shifted your gaze to your feet, avoiding his steady stare.

"Are you going to stand there and stare at your feet for the rest of the day? Tell me already!" Silver said gruffly, crossing his arms in front of his chest, expecting an answer. You fumbled to find the right words, eyes still glued to your feet. Not knowing what to say, you just took the dusk stone out of your backpack and held it out to Silver.

"Well...actually", you said nervously, finally looking up, "a-actually I wanted this to be a suprise-present for you...but, um...things kinda escalated, so...."

All of sudden you felt dumb for all the things you did. You heared him sigh and saw how he ran a hand through his red locks.

"You really are a pain in the ass, you know that?" He then grabbed your wrist and pulled you towards his chest, wrapping his arms around your little form. It was your turn to blush now, this wasn't something you expected him to do at all. You looked up and saw him smiling down at you, which caused you to blush even more.

"S-Silver, what are you doi-", you were cut off mid sentence as soft lips crashed onto yours, capturing you in a passionate kiss.

"I don't need any presents. You are my most precious gift, stupid."
